Virgin Galactic Unveils the Cabin Design for their Spaceship in their Mission to Dominate Space Tourism

There is a new step quest to dominate space tourism as Virgin Galactic has unveiled the cabin design for their Spaceship. The people who may get to travel in these very spaceship cabins in the not-so-distant future are those with a heart full of adventure and a wallet full of money. On Tuesday morning, Virgin Galactic first exhibited their cabin design to the world in a dramatic YouTube Livestream. A sleek rocketship with extended wingtips trailing gracefully behind it flies over the Earth could be seen in the promotional video.

In SpaceShipTwo, customers will take in spectacular views of the planet, which they just paid a fortune to leave and get into the lower fringes of space to float in zero gravity. More than 600 people have already signed up for the sub-orbital flights, which cost US$250,000. Michael Colglazier, the new CEO of Virgin Galactic, said in the video that they were sharing the culmination of incredible creativity, unswerving dedication, and the total commitment of realizing their dream of opening space to change the world for good.

Debussy’s ‘Clair de Lune,’ in the actual reveal of the cabin, plays as the camera turns slowly around a virtual rendering of the space. Clair trace over grey seats with blue and teal detailing, where the tourist astronauts will sit in on their journey. The windows inside the spacecraft are the star of the design,17 circular windows in total. Jeremy Brown, Design Director for the project, indicated that in zero-G, the cabin essentially becomes a 360-degree climbing frame, and the windows curve up across the roof in lines to allow the occupants to see outside from all angles.

Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group, stated that the cabin is special as it is also the design centerpiece. At the same time, it’s been created to integrate seamlessly into every other aspect of our astronaut journey. Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo is also designed to transport researchers. The seats can be able to be swapped out for whatever experiments a scientist might need to bring up into space. Elon Musk’s SpaceX, which became the first private company to send people into orbit this spring, is likely to be their main competitor.

This Mission, which would last around five days, would orbit two to three times higher for a better view of Earth by skipping the space station. However, the cost is around $35 million, which is higher than Virgin Galactic’s offering. Virgin Galactic carried out two successful suborbital flights with their spacecraft a year ago. Virgin Galactic’s Chief Astronaut Instructor, Beth Moses, stated that she was the first person to fly within the cabin of SpaceShipTwo as a passenger to assess the trip. They looked at how the cabin moves about people when they are floating and weightless in their prototype proc.

She also said that probably the standout moment of her life was floating free in the ship, and the ship came to a stop above Earth, and it felt endless. She also said the cabin should be an “almost invisible, but perfect supporting act,” and that the trip will succeed for tourists if the view of Earth and the sensation of being in space “are the star.” On the other hand, Brown said that the seats recline when a person leaves them at the peak of the journey, to provide more space for passengers to “enjoy weightlessness.” Also, the seatbacks have different digital displays to show the passengers live flight data.
