Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment owns nine properties worldwide. Now it has entered the fray in Las Vegas. The Nevada Gaming Commission has approved the entity. It will be the first tribal gaming operation in the resort corridor.
It will all happen in January when the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas opens for business. It is already known for its flagship Mohegan Sun property, inaugurated in 1996 in Connecticut.
Now Mohegan can leverage its reputation and customers to the desert. It knows how to run a vast operation given its control of Ilani tribal Casino in Washington, the Paragon Casino Resort in Louisiana, the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, the Mohegan Sun Pocono in Pennsylvania and the Fallsview Resort Hotel and Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
It has extended its reach to South Korea with upcoming Inspire Entertainment Resort in Seoul. A resort is proposed in Greece as well.
