A filing has been made by Copper and Gold Corporation of a preliminary prospectus supplement in connection with an over-night marketed public offering of common shares of the company.
The price will be determined by the market and offering size, which is not less than.$20,000,000. Cormark Securities Inc. is the lead underwriter. Actually, a syndicate of underwriters are entering into an agreement with Western Copper and Gold for a purchase option of Common Shares equal to 15% up to thirty days from the offering’s closing date.
Some background: Western Copper and Gold is developing the Casino Project, Canada’s premier copper-gold mine in the Yukon Territory. In fact, it will be one of the most economic greenfield copper-gold mining projects in the world.
The proceeds from the sale of the Common Shares will fund its exploration, engineering and permitting activities and for general working capital purposes. A Canadian base shelf prospectus had already been filed along with a SEC Registration Statement.
Now the offering supplement finishes the legalities. The Canadian Prospectus Supplement (together with the related Canadian Base Shelf Prospectus) has been made available on SEDAR at www.sedar.com. The United States Prospectus Supplement (along with U.S. Base Shelf Prospectus and the Registration Statement) will be available on the SEC’s website at www.sec.gov.
