Latest Gaming News and Highlights of the Industry

A lot goes on in the gaming world week to week in terms of partnerships, acquisitions, appointments, and legislation. This week was no exception.

Here is a snapshot of what happened:

Score Media and Gaming Inc. introduced Bet Section, a new integrated and personalized suite of betting features within its app. A new and innovative cross-platform media and betting hub promises to take the betting experience to the next level.

Among the touted features are prioritized and tailored markets, live bet tracking and exclusive promotions.

In addition, there is a celebration going on at the Cordish Companies’ Live! Casino Pittsburgh. Located at the Westmoreland Mall in Pennsylvania, the $150 major venue is opening.

Attendees at the ribbon cutting ceremony were Principal Jon Cordish, Managing Partner Joe Weinberg, and Cordish Gaming Group President Rob Norton. State Senate Majority Leader Kim Ward and state Representative George Dunbar joined the event as well.

As for partnerships, several are notable. For example, online gaming platform developer LatamWin has entered into one with edict egaming, a subsidiary of Gauselmann Group.

The result will be several new benefits to Merkur game users in Latin America. The mission is to engage online gaming operators and all those new companies of the industry.

Then there is news at Scientific Games Corporation. It has inked a new five-year deal with the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission (MSLC). Now it can supply its world-class instant games and digital engagement programs to the state Lottery.

Consumer digital services include exciting second chance game features that will help the Lottery grow revenues for the Commonwealth.

JCM Global and The Mint Gaming Hall at Kentucky Downs are in the news for expanding their partnership. It is not the first time. JCM will upgrade all 450 games in the casino to its award-winning iVIZION bill validator with ICB Intelligent Cash Box system.

Furthermore, JCM will install its iVIZION with ICB and GEN5 Thermal Printer in the newly expanded casino, already laden with approximately 600 games.

There are a few appointments to mention. Martin Lycka is the new Senior VP for American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling at GVC Holding PLC. He is expected to expand GVC’s licensing and regulatory structure in the US.

This is part of the company’s commitments to responsible gambling, sports integrity and regulatory compliance. Lycka will also lead regulatory affairs in Canada and support GVC’s Latin America regulatory strategy.

Last but not least, this week, Bally’s Corporation completed its acquisition of Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino from Caesars Entertainment Inc. and Vici Properties Inc. Reportedly, the purchase price was $25 million,
