Another casino closure has been announced, although likely temporary. It is part of a provincial government edict in New Brunswick for certain businesses such as casinos. Casino New Brunswick will be temporarily suspending operations effective immediately.
Thus, the pandemic continues to take a toll on the gaming industry in Canada. Great Canadian Gaming is complying with the new regulations. The Ontario-based company operates 26 gaming, entertainment and hospitality facilities in Ontario, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
The re-opening is pending notification given the current health concerns. Shuttering the casino doors is part of the company’s commitment to social responsibility. After all the motto of Great Canadian Gaming is, “PROUD of our people, our business, our community.”
Under the umbrella of this great mission, the company supports over 1,400 charitable and non-profit organizations across Canada with a portion of gross gaming revenues. The goals is to support healthcare, education and social services.
